Social networking sites, such as Facebook, have gained a notable place in everyone’s life today. According to a recent survey, every 13th person on this earth is on facebook. Every month, over 10 million new users sign up on facebook. It is because people find it the easiest way to stay linked with their friends and acquaintances.
But that’s just the one side of the coin. An inappropriate use of such sites can prove to be a disaster for one’s married life. According to a US law firm, facebook is cited in every fifth divorce petition they received.
The main reason behind this is the sharing of unsuitable content, by some people, and making flirty comments and chat with the persons they are not supposed to. The trust that their spouses had on their loyal husbands and wives is rocked when they witness such content shared by their spouses.
Many a times, Spouses spy their partners’ facebook account just to get a clue about their illegal relations with other persons. Many IT firms have been given contracts to track the facebook accounts of the people suspected by their spouses. Such types of cases have been increasing day by day resulting into a virtual dilemma for married and committed people.
Besides this, some people are using facebook to deliberately find ways to get rid of their partners. They constantly track their account and updates to find any evidence that could be produced in front of the court against that person.
As a conclusion, the only thing that could be mentioned is that one should always watch out before doing any activity on facebook or any other social networking site as a wrong step may land one in trouble. One should try not to get too addicted to such sites.
